AI Scope

Alstom, a global multinational undergoing digital transformation, leverages AI to enhance its operations. The Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AI CoE) is a dedicated unit driving AI adoption, innovation, and governance. Its core functions include: AI Strategy & Governance, AI Research & Development of cutting-edge models and algorithms, AI Infrastructure & MLOps, AI Use Case Identification & Deployment, AI Training, AI-driven Automation & Optimisation.

Machine Learning, Analytics, Robotics

As a key member of the AI CoE at Alstom, Danilo played a leadership role in the strategic and operational development of machine learning, deep learning, convolutional neural networks (CNN), computer vision (3D), generative AI, data science, AI-driven predictive analytics, and robotics.

AI Innovation

Danilo collaborated with Alstom’s AI and IT centers across Continental Europe, as well as with AI tech startups in both Continental Europe and the United Kingdom. He also partnered with the University of Girona (UdG) in Catalonia, Spain, and Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.

His contributions to AI innovation have been widely recognised—Danilo won an international innovation award, selected from 350+ candidates across 17 countries, and has been granted five patents, the latest in December 2023.
