The Lusail Light Railway is the largest tramway project in the Gulf region and Qatar’s first catenary-free tramway, providing an environmentally friendly mobility solution for Lusail, a city north of Doha. As part of the LRTC Consortium with QDVC—a joint venture between Qatar Investment Authority (51%) and VINCI Construction Grands Projets (49%) responsible for civil works—Alstom was awarded a contract by Qatar Railways Company to deliver a turnkey tramway system.
