Urban Mobility Project Brief

Through an international public tender managed by the Office for the Reorganization of Transportation (OPRET), a contract was awarded to Alstom for the manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of eight new three-car trains for Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Metro. This line spans 14.5 kilometers and serves 16 stations, with the new trains designed for flexible operation in multiple-unit configurations, either independently or coupled with existing fleet units, enabling capacity adjustments to match demand: six-car sets during peak hours and three-car sets during off-peak periods.

Metro project execution

Equipped with advanced technology and enhanced features, the new trains aim to elevate the passenger experience and optimize operational performance. As part of the delivery team, Danilo played a key leadership role, overseeing the construction, testing, and commissioning of the electrical and electromechanical systems. His strategic oversight and hands-on coordination were instrumental in ensuring adherence to quality standards and on-time project delivery.
